Return & Refund Policy

We stand behind the accuracy of every listing. A full refund will be issued if:

• Item not as described — the item you receive differs materially from the photographs, condition rating, or description in the listing (e.g., undisclosed damage, wrong item shipped, missing components that were listed)
• Authenticity issue — the item is found to be inauthentic by a qualified third-party authenticator. There is no time limit on authenticity claims.
• Wrong item shipped — you received a different item than what you ordered

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your item, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, the following conditions must be met:

• The item must be returned in its original condition — unworn, unaltered, and undamaged
• All original packaging, tags, dust bags, and accessories must be included
• You must notify us of your withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the item
• The item must be shipped back within 14 days of notifying us

Important:

• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer for withdrawal returns
• You are liable for any diminished value of the item resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 14(2)). This means you may inspect the item as you would in a store, but wearing, using, or removing tags may result in a deduction from your refund.
• Because every item is one of a kind, we strongly encourage you to review all photographs and descriptions before purchasing

Refunds for withdrawal returns will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item in qualifying condition.

A refund may be reduced or declined if:

• The item has been worn, used, or altered beyond basic inspection
• Original tags, packaging, or accessories are missing
• The item shows new damage, marks, or odours not present at time of shipping
• Colour variations are due to screen display differences (we photograph in natural light and describe colours in text)
• Characteristics of vintage items that were disclosed in the listing (patina, wear marks, hardware tarnish, etc.)

If you believe your item qualifies for a refund:

1. Contact us at treasuresofmaimi@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery
2. Include your order number and clear photographs showing the discrepancy between the listing and the item received
3. Our team will review your claim within 2 business days
4. If approved, we will provide return shipping instructions at our expense
5. Your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item

All items are professionally packaged and shipped with tracking and insurance. Once an item is handed to the shipping carrier, responsibility for the package transfers to the carrier.

If your item arrives damaged during transit:

• Take photographs of the packaging and damage immediately
• File a claim directly with the shipping carrier using your tracking number
• Contact us at treasuresofmaimi@gmail.com — we will provide any documentation needed to support your carrier claim

We are not liable for damage caused by the shipping carrier during transit. We strongly recommend inspecting your package upon delivery and noting any visible damage with the courier.

• For approved "not as described" claims: return shipping is at our expense and original shipping is refunded
• For approved authenticity claims: all shipping costs are refunded
• Original shipping fees are non-refundable in all other circumstances

We guarantee the authenticity of every item we sell. Each piece is sourced from Japan's most trusted vintage dealers and individually verified. If an item is found to be inauthentic:

• Full refund including all shipping costs
• Return shipping arranged and paid by us
• No time limit — this guarantee applies indefinitely
• Professional third-party authentication documentation may be required

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Spanish consumer protection law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007), you have the following rights:

• 14-day right of withdrawal — you may return any item within 14 days of receipt, subject to the conditions described above
• Legal guarantee of conformity — items must match their listing description
• Right to a full refund for items that are not as described or inauthentic
